Students from the Abbotsford School of Integrated Arts arrived at Langley Fine Arts School on Friday, April 26 to share their message of youth empowerment.
The Abbotsford school was one of the first to join PA-MOJA which began at LFAS in 2006. Grade 4 teacher, Sheridan Tochkin, who went to Kenya with PA-MOJA in the summers of 2010 and 2011, organized the event. She and her students first visited a new sister school in Coquitlam earlier in the day before arriving at LFAS.
Students from LFAS were inspired by the speeches, music and songs produced by the visiting students and pledged to begin their own LFAS youth club.
