Sweetwaters Secondary School biogas tank producing methane for cooking

Here is a photo of the very first flame from the methane gas tap coming from the biogas tank at Sweetwaters Secondary School.  The construction of the biogas tank and the purchase of the cows that fill it with dung were both funded by PA-MOJA.  The students and staff of Sweetwaters Secondary School will be so excited when they arrive  on the 7th of May, 2013 and see this new improvement in their school.

Wahoooo! Finally here it is, the gas flame from the biogas (methane) produced from the fermentation of the cow dung collected in the biogas tank at Sweetwaters Secondary School.  The school will soon replace the big cooking stoves below that burn wood with gas cookers. The cooks  will no longer need to chop the big logs and also the school will save the extra cost of purchasing firewood. Thanks to PA-MOJA for this great contribution!S2020024
