Life at Njoguini Primary, sister school to Stephen Girard.

Njoguini Primary School is a sister school to Stephen Girard Elementary School in Philadelphia. It neighbours the Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Life hardships are the order of the day in the locality surrounding the school. The pupils struggle hard to be in school despite all the difficulties they encounter in their day to day life. The school does not provide the pupils with lunch despite most of them coming from very poor backgrounds where food is almost unaffordable. This forces them to carry whatever is available at home for lunch.

Stephen Girard Elementary School became a sister school with Njoguini in 2012 and there have been some very positive changes to the school since. The students have also had cultural exchanges with the students in Philadelphia and this relationship continues to grow.
