Thome Boys Celebrate Top District School in the Country


The boys at Thome Secondary have a reaon to celebrate. In 2013, the school emerged as the top District school in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education countrywide.

Thome Secondary was started in 2010. Only the brightest boys from under-privileged backgrounds make it into the school.

Congratulations to Principal Mweri and the Thome boys, on this extraordinary achievement.

David thanks for your question which I asked the boys at Thome and they say that they owe their success to the much support they get from their parents and the community at large despite their humble backgrounds as well as to their passion and love for education. They also say that as students, they take the first initiative in their studies and never give a chance to time wastage, waiting for teachers to teach in the syllabus as they are always ahead of the teacher and so the teacher’s lesson acts as revision time for them hence making learning and understanding excellent for them. I hope this will be helpful to your students.
