Burnaby South’s Rebel Famine – 2015

The Rebel Famine, an annual fundraising event at Burnaby South Secondary school, was a success again in 2015.  The student government organized the event to raise awareness to local and global issues of food scarcity and poverty in a way that was fun and meaningful for their students.

Students enjoyed numerous events throughout the night, culminating in a skype call with students from their sister school in Kenya, Endana Secondary School. The Endana students were brought a long distance from their school to the town of Nanyuki to be a part of the event.  Thanks to the participants and teacher sponsors at both Endana Secondary and Burnaby South for this incredible event and for being an integral part of the PA-MOJA team.

Please watch the video to see some of the highlights of the night.
