Endana Primary School borders Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the north. It is also a school that has pupils from the neighbouring pastoralist communities. Its capacity is 452 pupils in standard 1 to 8 and 218 pupils in ECD classes. Standard 1 to 8 has 231 boys and 221 girls.
The area where the school is situated initially had many zebras and the community used to hunt them for much needed protein. In exchange for the community protecting the zebras, the Kenyan Wildlife Service constructed three classrooms.
The students and staff have initiated various projects such as tree planting to maintain their school environment. Endana students also have a Scout’s club, Environmental club, Wildlife club and a 4k club that deals with agricultural projects.
Hello Endana…great to hear from you. How many PA-MOJA bursary students do you have at your school?
Hallo Neil, Endana Primary School is a government primary school and so exempted from fee payment like any other government school in Kenya. Primary education is free in our country except little charges for the exams, so we do not have any PA-MOJA sponsored students in Endana primary school.
Thanks for your timely response Emily…I was thinking high school. I have really enjoyed your posts, they really help keep us and our supporters in the loop. Keep up the great work!
