Tharua Primary School was recently linked with a new sister school, Mundy Road Elementary in Vancouver, Canada. Mundy Road Elementary was introduced to PA-MOJA near the end of 2012 when a team of students from Abbotsford School of Integrated Arts gave a presentation about PA-MOJA and life in Kenya.
Through dance, music and an informational slide show, the students of Abbotsford invited the staff and students to join together and become a sister school with Tharua Primary, which they finally did.
In the month of July, 2013, the PA-MOJA team visited Tharua Primary School. During the visit the kindergarten children and grade eight students of Tharua Primary watched a video of the original Abbotsford presentation. A video was taken of the Tharua Primary pupils asking questions to the students of Mundy Road about Canadian schools. The video is to be delivered to the students of Mundy Road by the PA-MOJA team.
In January 2013, a PA-MOJA team returned to Tharua Primary School at which time a video was taken of the kindergarten class. This video was also shown to the same kindergarten class by a PA-MOJA team in July 2013. At the end of the visit, Tharua primary pupils interacted with the PA-MOJA team members.
