PA-MOJA volunteers, Alison Stuart, Silvia Knittel, Betty Kiddell and Leigh Vierstra witnessed and filmed a cheetah bring down and eat a pregnant impala. In the six years PA-MOJA volunteers have visited Kenya, this is the first time any of them have seen a kill on the conservancy. The foxlike animal that weaves in and out of the picture is a jackal.
Although the footage is difficult to watch, this is a natural part of daily life for the animals on the conservancy.
