During the summer of 2014, the PA-MOJA team from North America visited both Endana Primary and Secondary schools to share cultural exchange materials from their North American sister schools. Spring Creek Community school in Whistler, Canada and the Endana Primary students wrote letters to each other, which were exchanged at a school assembly. The Endana students warmly greeted the visitors by sharing their cultural dances.
The Endana Secondary students performed a moving play about early marriage and also played some games that were sent on video from the Burnaby South students.
Everyone appreciated the connection and exchange of cultures shared by the students of all four schools. The following movie shows some of the highlights from the visits.
VERY cool! Great video! I I love the play and the bursaries idea for the at-risk girls, too.
