Thome Boys say hello to Carbonear and GAMP

The team at PA-MOJA is excited to welcome our new sister school, Carbonear Collegiate. Carbonear is our first sister school in Newfoundland and will join GAMP Academic Music School in Philadelphia, becoming a second sister school to Thome Boys School.

Emma Haraga, a grade 11 student at Carbonear Collegiate, initiated the connection. Emma recently moved from Langley, British Columba, where she had heard about PA-MOJA at her high school, Mountain Secondary. She decided to get her community involved in creating a connection to Nanyuki, Kenya.

Emma began by gathering a group of students and teachers to create a PA-MOJA club at her school. They are already busy preparing for their first event, a 30 hour technology famine. We wish Emma and her club the best of luck with this event.
