Agnes Naserian – Graduated Student

School: Sweetwaters Secondary School

My name is Agnes Naserian Njoki a student at Sweetwaters Secondary School in grade 12. I got my scholarship in 2018 through butterfly effect, this is a programe that involves the exchange of idea from different schools. Through exchange of ideas, one’s mind is broadened and an idea of things you did not know before is created.

The project gave me a chance to visit some of the schools in Canada and have a clear idea of what it meant  by the exchange of ideas. After the exchange of the program , the board of PA-MOJA rewarded me with a gift of scholarship which brought about a great difference in my life and also in my studies in a positive and effective way. Through the scholarship I now attend to all my lessons, because I don’t go home for school fees like I did in the past three years which made my grades drop.

The scholarship has helped me improve in my grades and helped me choose various subjects, according to the career I want to pursue. This is encouraging me to work hard since there is nothing obstructing me from achieving my goals. I also have a chance to uplift my family and help other families that might be going through the same challenges or even bigger struggles.

I want to pursue engineering, as my career which will help me be an independent lady who is generous and also hoping that there will be people learning from my success. I appreciate the PA-MOJA team for choosing me as one of their scholarship students and helping me to realize myself and the potential that am capable of. I will use the opportunity to recover what I have lost for the past three years.
