Trizah Gatwiri – Graduated Student

School: Sweetwaters Secondary School

I am Trizah Gawiri Mwirigi, I would like to thank all those who put their efforts to ensure that I am in school I got my scholarship last year through a project called butterfly effect. This is a global programe exchange where student come up with different ideas and come up with solutions in the created website. I got a chance to visit Canada and through the interaction that we had with the teachers and Students they offered to pay my school fees.

The project has helped me broaden my thinking and gain self confidence through different interactions. I have met with different people in the world. I am also able to make the right choices and decisions through the help of the mentors that I have.

Through the scholarship I have never been sent home to collect school fees. I have also learnt that, other than my parents who care for me there are also other people in this world who have seen my potential. This encourages me a lot and enables me to work hard in my studies and bearing in mind that Canadian, students struggle to put up a fundraising to enable me be in school and accept the challenges that come in life and not seat down but look for the solution.

My ambition is to become this great politician with no corrupt morals willing and ready to change the world. I want in life to become someone who will be admiring and a mentor to many. I want to become a person who will change the world in various ways such as: Fighting corruption that is big in our country, Braking the glass ceiling and finding a place for other women leaders whom their doors have been shuttered for a long time. I also want to help other children.

Thank you to PA-MOJA team and butterfly effect for offering such a big opportunity that has really transformed my life.
