Mary-Anne lives with her mother and father on a small farm in the village of Mwituri.  She has 3 brothers and 1 sister.  Mary-Anne hopes to be the first person in her family to finish high school and attend university. Her strongest subjects are physics and math but she finds English a challenge because it is her third language.  Her dream is to become an engineer.

In her spare time she likes to play volleyball and sing in the school choir.

Lucy has a message for her PA-MOJA donors:  “If it wasn’t for PA-MOJA, I would never have been able to go to high school. My family feels blessed that I have this opportunity. I thank you with all my heart.”
