My name is Kariuki Mary Wangari. I was born in 2007 into a family of four. I study at Loise Nanyuki Girls, where I enrolled in 2021 after completing my KCPE exams and achieving good marks. In my leisure time, I enjoy playing netball. I became fond of playing netball because I was inspired by some players who excel in the game. Additionally, playing netball is my hobby. However, my true aspiration is to become a professional doctor. To achieve this dream, I’ve been diligently working hard in my studies, aiming to attain the best grades that would elevate my career.
In 2021, I received a scholarship. The main reason for being sponsored was my good academic performance, and they recognized my potential to achieve my goals. This scholarship has enabled me to aim higher and accomplish my aspirations.
Moreover, I aspire to join one of my dream universities, Nairobi University. It’s a university I admire because many successful individuals I know have graduated from there. Additionally, it’s my favorite choice because I believe I can fulfill my dreams there, paving the way for a better future for myself and others.
What I find most interesting is conserving the environment. I’ve become an environmental conservationist due to our school’s partnership with Ol Pejeta Conservancy, teaching us about environmental conservation. Consequently, I’ve learned valuable skills from them, incorporating them into my daily life. Through these skills, I strive to leave a place better than I found it.
