My name is Nam Ruth Nashak, and I am 18 years old. I live in a family of eight where I am the eldest child. I studied at Jane Goodall African Academy and completed my primary education in the year 2021.
Once I finished my K.C.P.E exams, I was chosen by the Ol Pejeta Conservancy because I had performed well in my K.C.P.E exams. I had 379 marks, and that is why the conservancy chose me through the Pamoja Scholarship. I also showed courage and confidence when I was asked a question during the interview.
I joined Loise Nanyuki Girls High School through the Ol Pejeta Scholarship. Through Ol Pejeta, I have learned many skills such as courage, confidence, dignity, and compassion. I would like to be a lawyer and study law at the University of Nairobi since Ol Pejeta are my supporters and help me in anything that I need. My hobbies are singing and playing volleyball. I enjoy spending time with my friends whenever I am free at home since they inspire me.
I promise you to work hard in school and have my own policies that will enable me achieve my dreams in life. Since Ol Pejeta has also empowered me, I would like to empower other girls to work hard in school and give back thanks to my community by helping them. I would help them by educating other girls and building a good future for them.
I would also want to fight for the rights of girls to be educated since if it weren’t for Ol Pejeta, I would not have studied.
I love domestic animals and also some wild animals such as an elephant since we live near them. I would also like to be a conservationist since I like the environment and also as a way of giving back thanks to the community.
