I am Victor Egusi from Segera Gate, born in 2003. In my family of two brothers and one sister, I took on the role of the eldest as my father departed when my youngest brother was born. Raised by a single mother, she endured hardships providing for our basic needs and school fees.
My academic journey was arduous due to financial constraints. There was a moment in first grade where the inability to pay fees almost led to dropping out, but kind benefactors offered a scholarship for my primary education. After completing Class 8 with 307 marks, I sought further scholarships unsuccessfully. I repeated the grade and achieved 347 marks, earning the PA-MOJA Scholarship that paved my way to high school.
I find solace and entertainment in music. It relaxes me and often carries impactful messages that guide life choices. I deeply value my peaceful community where unity prevails, assisting one another in times of need. Contributing to community cleanliness, I am part of a student group ensuring our environment remains tidy by managing waste.
Football holds my passion, both playing for Segera Gate FC and cheering for Arsenal. Physics captivates me; its practicality intrigues me and aligns with my career aspirations in engineering. I aspire to invent devices to benefit society, particularly in fixing discarded electronics in our community.
Volleyball engages me physically and mentally, promoting fitness and mental alertness. Movies entertain me while imparting crucial lessons on avoiding drug abuse and navigating perils. Respecting both elders and younger individuals is a fundamental aspect of my social stance within the community.
