James Muraguri: Graduated Butterfly Effect Student (2015)

Being part of PA-MOJA has been a truly life-changing experience for me. Growing up and studying in rural Kenya, I had little to no global exposure until I joined Butterfly Effect. Interacting with students from different parts of the world allowed me to fully appreciate our diversity and uniqueness, and even more so, the similarities that we share as a species. This exposure completely rewired my brain and provided me with a variety of lines of thought that I did not previously have. I was able to apply the experience and knowledge gained from Butterfly Effect across different aspects of my life, including education, relationships, and even my career. Looking back at who I was a decade ago, I cannot help but notice that I have grown significantly – in ways I could not have imagined back then. All the credit goes to Butterfly Effect. BE has truly lived up to its name!
