Every Donation Makes a Difference

The Ol Pejeta Conservancy uses a careful process of student selections in collaboration with local leaders from the communities around the conservancy. Students must apply and show that they are academically strong and could not otherwise afford school fees. When students are selected in Form 1 (Grade 9), we cover their school fees for all four years of their secondary school. This allows students to focus on school, knowing that their fees will always be covered. These highly coveted scholarships are distributed evenly to the communities around the conservancy, which helps maintain a strong relationship between the conservancy and the local people and therefore helps support wildlife conservation. We appreciate all the work done by the staff at OPC (meet them HERE) to choose, track and support all the scholarship students; it is a complex and challenging undertaking.
