I am Ekidor Simon Edukan from the Suguroi community in Mutara Zone, Laikipia County. My birthdate is December 12, 2007, and I am the second eldest among six siblings.
Referred to by many as ‘Ekiddy the artist,’ I discovered my talent for calligraphy back in seventh grade. Creating vibrant graphics on my course books’ covers intrigued me. When I enrolled in Nanyuki High School in Form One, I took Art and Design as my secondary technical subject. It significantly enhanced my skills, particularly in shading and sketching. I’m adept at graffiti, combining calligraphy with natural backgrounds. It’s a source of pride, and during my free time, I indulge in structured abstract ideas, further boosted by my family’s encouragement. I aspire to conduct extensive research on historical creative arts to refine my skills and elevate the quality of my designs.
Aside from my artistic inclination, football is my hobby. Playing as the last defender, I adopt the number five position, effectively thwarting most opponent passes. Premier League defenders like Akanji of Manchester City inspire me, reinforcing my belief that I am a resilient defender within my home team.
Innovative thinking drives my interest in developing business ideas, transforming them into successful ventures. Studying business has made it my favorite subject, and I excel in it. My fascination with living things and storytelling skills propel my interest in Biology, making it my top science subject. I aspire to delve into zoology and business management research to acquire additional skills for establishing sustainable businesses.
My academic journey initially posed challenges, unfamiliarity with the content being a hurdle. However, with focused revision, goal setting, and adherence to a strict timetable, I regained my stride, showcasing resilience to excel academically.
My passion lies in geography and medicine, driving my aspiration to pursue architecture. I aim to innovate new building designs and enhance the durability and quality of constructions, aspiring to graduate from a leading Canadian university.
Continually evolving in my artistic journey, I aim to create more calligraphic designs and leave a historic mark with my artistic creations. Canada, my dream country due to its development, holds my interest, and I aim to spend part of my future there.
Lastly, I envision joining the PA-MOJA group to aid those seeking opportunities to improve their lives, should providence allow it.
