Fredrick Murangiri Nkunja

Community: Debatas

School: Burieruri High School

INTRODUCTION:

Fredrick was born in 2008 and he has three siblings. His parents do odd jobs in the community but do not have a stable source of income to put Fredrick in a boarding school. Fredrick attended Uaso-Nyiro Primary School for his entire primary education. He worked hard and scored 325 marks on his KCPE. This allowed him to be admitted to Burieruri High School in Meru County.

Here is an excerpt of Fredrick’s answer to the question ‘Why should we consider you for this scholarship?’:

‘I request for this scholarship because I have the strength and determination to achieve my goals no matter what hurdles I have to overcome and am very passionate about education. In the future, I would wish to be a great doctor. I will be a great and helpful doctor in our community and whole nation. I believe I deserve to be selected for one of your scholarships because as a hardworking student I commit myself to effectively take advantage of the opportunity that this scholarship will provide me and believe education is the key to success and I will try to connect my passion for education with my desire of helping others.’

Fredrick’s Head Teacher describes him as a ‘hardworking and determined student who is disciplined and of upright character’.

We are excited to have Fredrick as part of the PA-MOJA scholarship program and wish him all the best as he starts his high school journey.
