‘I heard from a friend of mine that Ol Pejeta and PA-MOJA were was receiving applications for high school scholarships. So I went to the community representative, got the application forms and applied for the scholarship myself’ – says Sarah who lives in Ngobit community with her parents and 5 siblings.
Her parents rely on casual labour to get an income and sometimes it is not enough to cater for the needs of all five children. This made Sarah worried that her parents would not be able to take her to secondary school.
After receiving the scholarship, she is one step closer to her dream of studying medicine in the university, which is her dream. She says she aims to work really hard in her studies to make her dream come true so that she can later help her family.
